Suburbia not the same as the wordpress.com version

I got the suburbia theme after viewing it on a wordpress.com site. The template is different. Some of the differences include, logo swapping to the right on some pages. The "continue reading" link is missing, the menus displayed differently with lines between menu entries in the list in the wp.com version and tighter display in the downloaded version, inability to have the same number of articles posted on the same page. I would like to have 3-4 rows of articles in category layout for example. The theme also has the sticky article bug i posted elsewhere but the wp.com version doesn't.

The downloaded theme is different. Why?

Is there a way to download the wordpress.com updated version? It's fixed a lot of errors I get. Such a beautiful theme, thank you for your hard work.
